The Wage Earner Protection Program Act (“WEPPA”) and Regulations have
been proclaimed in force as of July 7, 2008.
The Regulations are expected to be published in final form in Part II of the
Canada Gazette on July 23, 2008.

The Ontario Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals “OAIRP” is a non-profit organization which
exists to attract, develop and support its members who provide insolvency and restructuring services. Our members
act as trustees in bankruptcy, receivers, agents for secured creditors, monitors and consultants in issues of insolvency
finding both creative and practical solutions.
OAIRP maintains a close relationship with the national association, CAIRP, the Ontario Bar Association and the
Superintendent of Bankruptcy.
