The Ontario Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals (“OAIRP”) is a non-profit organization whose objectives are to attract, develop and support its members, who provide insolvency and restructuring services, to ensure the highest degree of public confidence in, and respect for, the integrity, objectivity and competence of our members and the integrity and value of the system of insolvency administration throughout Ontario. Our members act as trustees in bankruptcy, receivers, agents for secured creditors, monitors and consultants in issues of insolvency; finding both creative and practical solutions.

The Goals of OAIRP are as follows:

Goal I – Advocacy
To maintain the profile of the OAIRP as the leading representative for insolvency professionals on Ontario and local issues, and to advance the public interest and that of its members on Ontario and local insolvency issues.

Goal II – Communications
To ensure that our members know what OAIRP is doing for them and to ensure members have easy access to useful reference material on OAIRP activities, professional issues and related matters. The OAIRP web site is intended to serve as one of the main tools for communications to members.

Goal III – Education and Networking
To provide value to members through education and networking opportunities.

Goal IV – Board Effectiveness

OAIRP has no permanent infrastructure. It relies upon volunteers who serve on the Board and its Committees to accomplish its goals. The objective of this Goal is for OAIRP to ensure that it has a sufficient number and diversity of volunteers from all segments of the profession.
